How the Clubhouse Works
We focus on activities that encourage young people to work as designers, inventors and creators. Clubhouse members are permitted extraordinary freedom to express themselves through projects based on their own interests, such as creating computer generated art, music and video; developing scientific simulations; designing their own animations; building robots; developing their own Web pages; and programming their own computer games.
We offer resources and opportunities to those who would not otherwise have access to them. Members have access to exciting new technology hardware, software and other tools normally found in the professional world. Under the guidance of adult mentors experienced in the use of the technology, Clubhouse members develop the skills and confidence to plan and execute projects, solve problems and develop marketable skills.
Young people between the ages of 12 and 18 may apply to become a member of the clubhouse. A parental consent form must be signed. In addition, all members must sign and agree to abide by the clubhouse code of conduct. There is no charge to become a member of the clubhouse.
